Description of this historic site

Fieldon Bridge, a bridge which may be Medieval in origin. The present stone structure, which is of unknown date, is situated on Atherstone Road.

Notes about this historic site

1 A reference exists to a grant for repair of Fieldon Bridge in 1332.
2 The present bridge is built of ashlar with a single rounded arch. There are no signs of the bridge having been widened and its date is uncertain.
