Comments
It is actually situated in Butlers Lane as Butlers Road starts some 50 yards further on. The Front and part of the sides of the Chapel and the adjoining Manse are rendered (to prevent the local bricks from decay we understand) in concrete which looks unfortunately like breeze blocks! This seems to have been a fashion as other buildings (in Charlebury for instance) have had the same treatment. It was built as an Independent Chapel by Rev Samuel West who presided as minister for some 33 years from 1820.
