Description of this historic site
Clifton Mill, the site of a canal wharf on a disused canal, where vessels would have loaded and unloaded goods during the Imperial period. It was located to the south west of the west end of Station Road, Clifton upon Dunsmore.

Notes about this historic site
1 This canal arm used to form part of the Oxford Canal before its straightening in 1834. It was retained to serve Clifton Old Wharf, vmarked as disused and at SP 5244 7643 on the 1905 Ordnance Survey map.
