One of the aims of the Warwickshire Natural History and Archaeological Society was to publish annual proceedings: a record of research into our county’s natural sciences and human history.
Many important papers
The society’s annual reports, published from 1836 until the early 20th century, includes many important papers which have laid the foundations for future research, up to the present day. In particular, data and observations from the Reverend Brodie’s contributions on county stratigraphy and palaeontology have been repeatedly used by geologists studying the Triassic and Jurassic rocks of Warwickshire.
A full set of the reports
We hold a full set of the annual reports within the museum, which can be consulted by appointment. Some are available online, via external websites.
