During an excavation features were excavated that were suggestive of the remains of Roman buildings. The site was situated on Stratford Road, Alcester.
Excavation carried out prior to development of the former factory site at Station Street, Atherstone focused upon the 19th century tenement yard houses and industrial buildings that were depicted on the 1st edition OS map of the area.
The outer court, or precinct of the priory, suggested by the medieval topography of Nuneaton. Archaeological investigation within the area of the precinct has recorded various medieval deposits.
During an excavation Roman features and a Medieval wall were recorded. Finds included Roman coins. The site was located on Evesham Street, Alcester.
