Description of this historic site
The site of a paper mill which was in use during the Imperial period. It was later converted to a corn mill. The mill was situated 800m north west of Church End.

Notes about this historic site
1 This was known as New Mill in 1725. It is thought to have been a paper mill in the early 19th century and had been converted to corn grinding by 1850. It closed in the 1860’s to make way for the reservoir that now occupies the site.
