Ridge and furrow ploughing to the south- west of Barton on the Heath is apparent as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 but is now levelled.

1 Ridge and furrow ploughing to the south-west of Barton on the Heath evident as earthworks on aerial phtographs dating from 1947 was mapped as part of the English Heritage National Mapping Project. The ridges have been levelled in the 1960/70s by modern ploughing. The evidence that remains are the furrows that can be seen as soil or crop marks on more recent photographs
