Description of this historic site
Several quarry pits of unknown date were found at this location as were sherds of Roman, Medieval and Post-Medieval pottery. The site is located 700m north west of Highdown Hill Plantation.

Notes about this historic site
1 Flints and Roman sherds indicate cultivation at some level, also 6 Medieval sherds. Much post-Medieval material could indicate a midden, or housing in, or near, the field – glass, tile, iron objects and a wide variety of pottery. Also 2 deep quarry pits in the field.
