Findspot - a stone axehead dating to the Neolithic period was found to the north of Baginton Castle.

Notes about this historic site
1 A large Neolithic stone axe discovered during gravel working in 1939. The axe is almost completely polished except for a number of patches where the chipping scars have not been completely removed and for a later but ancient flake scar at the butt end.
