Description of this historic site
The site of a Post Medieval footbridge which crosses the River Sowe 200m southwest of St Mary's Church, Stoneleigh. It was shown on an Estate map of 1766. The footings of the present concrete bridge probably pre-date it.

Notes about this historic site
1 Bridge marked.
2 A modern concrete footbridge leading to Motslow Hill. This bridge appears to have sandstone supports. It is possible but not certain that these supports survive from the 18th century footbridge.
