Possible site of Church of St Helena, Castle Park
Description of this historic site
One of two possible sites for the church of St Helena which stood in the Medieval period. This site is believed to be the more likely because Speed's map of 1610 marks it as standing quite far from the river. The site is located in Castle Park.

1 This is the more likely location for the site of the Church of St Helena than the grid reference given by WA 1954. The site is clearly shown on the map by J. Speed to be some distance from the river.
