Notes about this historic site
1 A wide shallow ditch, c.40 x 40m, is evident on LiDAR imagery enclosing a platform measuring c.20 x 20m. It is possible that it represents a moated platform. However, there is known to have been various episodes of small-scale quarrying in the vicinity and it is also possible that this feature represents activity associated with this. Possible linear features, aligned North-South, are visible on LiDAR to its east, possibly representing drainage channels.
2 Features also visible on Satellite Imagery, particularly the 1999 Google Earth layer.
