Notes about this historic site
1 To the north of Warwick was Guy Cliffe Grove, recorded in 1422-3 and 1483 The site is suggested by the enclosure award for St. Nicholas’s parish, which included Pattens Grove near Guyscliff House, and by Sir Willaim Dugdale’s reference to “the pleasant Grove” behind Guy’s Cliff.
