Notes about this historic site
1 A small group of pits on the eastern side of the site contained a small copper alloy knife and a small assemblage of middle Bronze Age pottery. No other contemporary features were located. It may represent a single episode of temporary occupation, although the deposition of a complete knife is more likely to be deliberate rather than an accidental loss, suggesting ritual deposal of a valuable object.
