Notes about this historic site
1 An archaeological evaluation at Hunter’s Moon, Flecknoe, in the centre of the medieval village, revealed RB pottery, a possible RB gully, and Medieval boundary gullies dating from the 11th to 15th centuries in the NE part of the site. There was no evidence for any structures of either period, and trenches to the S and W found only traces of 18th and 19th century activity.
