Medieval crop marks
Description of this historic site
Medieval features, including a trackway, a gully and pits, are visible on aerial photographs. The features probably represent more than one phase of occupation. The site is on Clifford Hill, Clifford Chambers.

Notes about this historic site
1 An enclosure complex: At least two phases appear to be indicated: i) Blocks of ridge and furrow are aligned on the rectangular enclosure and trackway, presumably indicating a Medieval date. ii) Ridge and furrow to the SW of the enclosure seal a penannular gully, pits and a probable rectangular post hole building. This is presumably pre-Medieval.
