Notes about this historic site
1 In the upper village of Hillmorton are the remains of a 14th century stone cross. It has a graduated and moulded base about 0.21m high, above which is a simply-moulded shaft of red sandstone surviving to a height of 2.1m.
2 Octagonal socket stone with shaft with a flute down its length adjacent to each corner. Has two steps at ground level, being continued in masonry up to socket stone level.
