Notes about this historic site
Remains of a large fish pool.
Two ponds can be seen S of the moat platform, the lower one being the larger. The upper pond is 28m by 16m and is quite dry. This probably served as a ‘topping-up’ tank for the main pond. The lower pond is 42m by 25m. It appears to have been damaged at the E end, where the outflow ran back to Cuttle Brook.
Scheduled as Warwickshire Monument No 158.
Rescheduled as SAM 21581.
