Excavation of Poss Iron Age Features at Tiddington
Description of this historic site
Possible Iron Age features, including ditches, were identified during archaeological work. Fragments of pottery and coins were found. The finds and features suggest that this may be the site of an Iron Age settlement. It located on the north side of the Tiddington Road.

Notes about this historic site
1 1982-3: Excavation in advance of redevelopment. The earliest ditch contained a Dobunnic quarter-stater, another probably similar coin was found elsewhere on the site. Pottery from this area consisted of ‘Belgic’ types which could be early/middle/late 1st century AD.
