A down flow filter, probably for domestic water filtration. It dates to the late 19th or early 20th century and is located along the eastern boundary of Hartshill Hayes Country Park.

Notes about this historic site

1 A previously unrecorded down flow filter on the eastern boundary of Hartshill Hayes Country Park. It consists of an open brick pit, an automatic tipping trough and four U-shaped channels for distributing the liqueur. It is porbably a filtration system for domestic use and probably dates to the late 19th or early 20th century.
