We lived here after the Woods family moved out, It was a lovely orchard farm, much of which was also under planted with daffodils and other bulbs for the early flower trade. Sadly I was to see the removal of the fruit trees and the much later houses built on the land. The cottage and the farmhouse still stand to this day.
My great grandfather George Thomas Woods bought the orchard in around 1908 and ran it along with his sons John and Arthur until after his death in 1949 when it was eventually sold.
