The coal board used to have film of under ground working for safety film back in the 60s . I wounded what ever happened to these. Could they be put on cd format if found. These were made for new employees.
Started in April 1964 went down the pit as a trainee 1964/5 at 16 yrs. trained the old way and trained the new way also. First thing you learn is do not back answer your training officer. If you didn’t do as you were told or messed about, you got a smack. You soon learn to behave.
