First house to be built as a Rugby School boaring house. Villa pleasure grounds with walks, lawns, shrubberies, formal garden, mixed planting, geometric parterre, kitchen garden to W.
Lovie reports that path pattern simplified since 1850. Outlines of some parterre beds could still be seen at time of Lovie’s report (1996/7) with some planting survive from early 19th century. Lovie lists some trees surviving at time of his survey.
