Undated human burials NE of the Church, Wootton Wawen

Description of this historic site

The site of the burial of a male and a female skeleton. They were discovered in the 19th century. The burials themselves are undated. The site is located 250m north east of the church, Wootton Wawen.

Notes about this historic site

1 Mention is made of a male and female skeleton found in 1861 when the old dairy was pulled down. The skeletons were in a doubled-up position and accompanied by what appeared to be the remains of a box in which they were buried.
