Historic inn recorded on F White & Co.’s, Pigot’s and Victuallers’ databases. The latter shows it in existence in 1805.
Situated on the east side of High street, near the junction with Church street, in the medieval part of the town.
Listed building record (DWA3226) gives a date of C17 for the inn.
