Notes about this historic site
1 Wyandotte Inn, Park Road, Kenilworth.
Steward reports that this beer house was built in 1867 by John Boddington. It was named by Boddington’s eldest son, who settled in Wyandotte, Michigan, USA. This inn was the last ‘free house’ in Kenilworth and was bought by Marstons Brewery in 1965.

Comments
The Wyandotte was not named after the town in Michigan but Wyandotte, Kansas. The full story can be found here.
I seem to remember that the sign board once proudly displayed the picture of a cockerel, wyandotte being also the name of a breed of hen.
William Arnold – true, but the Wyandotte fowl were not first bred until AFTER the inn was so named. You can check this on Wikipedia and other places
