Notes about this historic site
1 A cross which appears similar to that in the Market Square (PRN 1967), but is apparently rather smaller is marked at Bridge End on the map of Warwick in Dugdale.
2 This is on Speed’s map of Warwick (1610) and was situated in ‘Crosse Street’, an old road which ran S from the bridge, at the junction of what now appears to be Southam Street and Gallows Street. No further information on the erection or removal of this cross.
