Site of historic inn recorded in F White & Co.’s, Pigot’s, and Victuallers’ databases. The latter shows it in existence in 1806.
Situated on the east side of the High street close the Market Cross, in the medieval area of the town.
Listed building record (DWA4297) gives a date of C17 for both the inn and the building.
