Site of Fishponds at Goldicote Deserted Settlement

Description of this historic site

The site of possible Medieval fishponds used for the breeding and storage of fish. They are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. They are situated 200m south east of Garden Wood, Alderminster.

Notes about this historic site

1 Enclosures to the S of the stream appear to be ditched. They are reminiscent of the moated site and fishpond complex at Kinwarton (PRN 1567). Possible fishponds lie to the NW and SE of a possible moat.
