Historic inn recorded in FWhite & Co.’s and Pigot’s databases. The latter shows it in existence in 1828. Later recorded as a hotel.
Situated on the east side of the High street in the medieval part of the town.
Listed building record (DWA1443) gives the date of the hotel as C18.
Google Earth (2013) picture suggests it is no longer an inn/hotel.

Comments
The Craven Arms was actually sited on the Market Hill 150 metres due east of St. James’s Church and was an old coaching hotel. It ceased to be a hotel in the early 90s, when it was converted into apartments.
