A section of a possible Roman road is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs. It is located 1.4km north of Walton.

2 Road shows as a negative cropmark to the W of the River Dene. This is roughly in line with the ‘Probable Road’ on a map of the Avon valley in the Roman period.
