Notes about this historic site
1 A selection of Roman coins (5) brought to the museum for identification. The coins ranged from mid 3rd – early 4th century in date.
2 Also a single Roman coin, a sestertius (161-161 AD).
3 Three Roman coins, C2 – C4, found by metal detector in March 1994.
4 7 Roman coins, C3-C4, found by metal detector.
5 Further twenty 4th century Roman coins found at this grid reference in 1994. Method of recovery unrecorded.
