Notes about this historic site
1 A well was recorded during a watching brief for the construction of houses at 43-47 Warwick Road, Kenilworth; it was constructed of handmade bricks and of post-medieval date. It was at least 1m wide and at least 1.3m deep. A terrace had been cut across the site, infilled with 18th and 19th century material. This terrace had been used for tipping industrial waste, a black humic pungent deposit, maybe derived from the nearby tannery.
