Comments
Whilst hunting deer here, King Edward IV killed Thomas Burdett’s favourite buck. Thomas Burdett said that he wished the deer’s antlers had gone into the king instead. When the king found out, after a trial, Burdett was found guilty of high treason and executed.
According to legend he was said to have killed the buck near to the church.
