Description of this historic site
A moat, a wide ditch usually surrounding a building, of Medieval origin. It survives as a faint earthwork, and is situated 150m south of the church at Claverdon.

3 The moat has been filled in since reference 1.
4 The moat is about 40m by 40m. The ditch is about 7m wide and a maximum of 30 cm deep. It now exists only as a shallow trace.
