Findspot - during archaeological excavations at the County Records Office, pottery dating to the Medieval Period (the 12th/13th Century) was found.

Notes about this historic site
1 A layer of 12th/13th century pottery was found in an evaluation trench on the north side of the County Record Office, and north also of the remains of the Post Medieval mansion house. There is clearly some potential for more extensive Medieval remains in this area.
