Lime Kilns found during evaluation at Birch Coppice, Baddesley Ensor

Three post-medieval lime kilns were partially excavated.

Notes about this historic site

1Three large burnt pits were partially uncovered, two within Trench 36 and one within
Trench 108, which were interpreted as lime kilns. These are probably post-medieval and were part of the agricultural landscape.
