Comments
Glendosill was a private lunatic asylum at Henley in the late 19th century. Dr Samuel Agar transferred 20 male and female lunatics there from Burman House in 1882; he continued to run the asylum at Glendosill, with his son, until at least 1900. Annual licences were issued at the Easter Quarter Sessions (Warwickshire County Record Office: QS39/26-29). OS maps show that the house still remains, but much of the garden has been built over.
