Notes about this historic site
1 Some years ago (ie prior to 1881), whilst digging a railway cutting near Nuneaton, a small urn containing a considerable number of Roman silver coins ranging from Vespasian to Marcus Aurelius, the latest being dated AD 166, was found. About 40 of the coins were examined by Sir J Evans.
