Findspot - a flint axehead dating to the Mesolithic period was found 700m north of Blackdown.

Notes about this historic site
1 A Mesolithic flint axehead from Blackdown brought into the Museum. This is a Mesolithic axehead. The end opposite the cutting edge is pointed rather like a pick. It is possible that it was used as a pick as well as an axe.
