Description of this historic site

A trackway dating to the Early Medieval period which leaves Kineton from the north west, up to and beyond Compton Verney. It is known from a charter dated 969 AD.

1 Road referred to in a charter of AD 969. Either the road to Wellesbourne leaving the parish at SP 3252 or the one to Warwick crossing the boundary at SP 3252.
