My Grandfather, Percy Gilman (buried in Polesworth Church) was a tenant farmer, living here and farming around 1000acres from about 1910. He brought up my mother b. 1914 ,Edith Joyce Bartle (née Gilman) and five sisters. The house was originally owned by the Burdett family. A Baronetcy, and the first, I believe, was Sir Thomas Burdett.
Percy Gillman was on the Warwickshire War Agricultural Committee during WW2 and had the tennis court dug up to grow vegetables so I believe. It’s a real tragedy to see how Bramcote Hall has been left! I believe it is a listed building (Grade2?)
