Historic inn, now public house, recorded in F White & Co.’s, Pigot’s, and Victuallers’ databases. The latter shows it in existence in 1806.
Situated on the east side of the High street in the medieval part of the town.
Listed building record (DWA2481) reports a date of the late C15 for the public house.
