A possible well or pit was discovered during archaeological work at Telegraph Street, Shipston on Stour. No dating evidence was recovered. In other trenches elsewhere a considerable amount of 19th/20th century pottery was found.

Notes about this historic site
1 An archaeological observation took place within the area of the Medieval market town. However, no finds or features associated with this settlement were recorded. A possible well or pit was identified, although no dating evidence was found. A large quantity of 19th/20th century pottery, as well as animal bone was discovered.
