Monks Well Reservoir 600m W of Watergall Bridge
In Side the Monk's Well at Watergall with a stone dated 1697. I was told the steps down the well were there for a monk to descend into the Well and do penance for the manor's lord.

Notes about this historic site
1 A well (PRN 813) provides water which is piped to an arched reservoir 27m to the E, from where it flows to the house. On the lintel of the doorway of the reservoir is the date 1697.
2 The stonework of the second reservoir is intact and it is still possible to get inside through a wooden door across the opening. The Manor House still obtains its water from here.
