I remember this church my father was the caretaker of All Saints school who cleaned it and the church he stoked the boiler up with coal that was under the church to keep the church and the adjacent school warm sadly the only remaining part of the school that is left is the contact centre at the back of the church that replaced it. it also had it’s own well by the side of the boiler. The vicar at the time wanted a newer church and i remember when they pulled it down they used a bulldozer with a cable tied to the spire to pull it down and it lifted the back of the bulldozer up the vicars name was Father Snow Snowy for short as my dad would say
I was a choir boy from 1949 to 1954 Father Saberton was the Vicar he was a very understanding man
Loved the church very sad when it was demolished. Have been living in Adelaide South Australia since 1974.
Before I got married I lived in All Saints Road number 57
