Dismal bells jingling have been heard here. They are thought to be the ghostly bell jingles of the ones on Piers Gaveston’s horse when he was taken there for execution.
A ghostly lady and a band of ghostly armed men have also been sighted here and are thought to be part of the execution as well.

Does anyone know how to get to the monument? I know it’s on private land and have been very close to it but don’t want to trespass.
