Alf England's cycle shop in King Street, Bedworth. 1970s
[It has been suggested this shop is actually the one on High Street, the one in King Street looked different.]

This is actually High Street. You can see the trees in Bedworth Park in the corner, just past the pub. That pub is the White lion
Alf England then moved to the corner of King Street and Queen Street.
Yes, that’s as I remember it in the early 1970s. My parents bought 3 cycles for the children from there. If I remember rightly one of the buildings was used as a temporary library around that time as well. Bedworth was a bit of a rough diamond then but I would love to see it rather than the 1970s version.
Yes definitely high street I lived in Congreve walk in the 1970s I remember it well also the library was next to it 2 or 3 stories of books and then next to that was the antiques shop Victorianna was its name I believe.

Definitely High Street – it was across the road from the old Bedworth UDC Offices.
