I think you will find that this is Dr Lionel Edward Orton, 1875 – 1964. LEO are his initials. The photograph would have been taken in the garden of what was then his father’s house at Congreve House, Bedworth. There is a stained glass window in All Saints Parish Church, Bedworth of St. Luke the Physician which was given in his memory.
As part of the Old Ordinance Survey Maps Series Bedworth 1923, Lionel Edward Orton is listed as Physician, Surgeon, Medical Officer & Public Vaccinator for the Bedworth District. The window in All Saints Church is dated 1929 & has a dedication from L. Orton to the memory of his parents Edward & Frances. The magisterial beauty of the stained glass & the year 1929 suggest the hand of Harry Clarke himself (at the height of his powers in what presumably represents one of the last ecclesiastical commissions) before his death in 1931.
