Historic public house recorded on Pigot’s database (as an inn), and Victuallers’ database which shows it in existence in 1803.
Situated on the south side of Long Street, next door to Black Boy public house, within the medieval settlement area.
Listed building (DWA323) dates the public house from mid/late C19.

Comments
According to one tradition it claims to have lodged Henry Tudor on the eve of the Battle of Bosworth in 1485.
